Digital transfer to newer consol

Hello,

I purchased the Xbox One X, and had sold my original One edition to a friend. I was wondering how I would retrieve the digital copies of the games that I had installed on my Xbox account, such as Minecraft, NHL, and GTA V. It keeps giving me purchase options.
The one I am most worried about is GTA V, as I'd like to play it to redeem bonuses for the upcoming Red Dead in a few weeks. Any help would be appreciated, unless of course you tell me there's no hope in retrieving my games back without proof of purchase (which
I'm sure I no longer have after playing the original One for so long). I already went through the loss of my original Xbox account, so here's to hoping the customer service got a little better.

Transferring Xbox 360 Games from Xbox One to another account

The license transfer tool is to transfer your licenses to another console in case you get a new console, not to transfer licenses between accounts. There is no way to transfer digital licenses to another account.

You do not have to do a Data transfer Cable transfer.



You may have to transfer your digital rights to the new box though.

As long as you're signed into the same account the games were purchased on, they should show as Ready to Install in your Games and Apps.

 

Hi! Are you using the same account on the new console? Digital purchases are linked to the account so you just need to log in with it and you will find all the games in the Ready to install page.

 

You simply need to sign in with the SAME e-mail account you used on your original Xbox One, and after the Xbox One X downloaded your proper Xbox profile, you will see all your games in the "Ready to Install"
section in the "My Games and Apps" tile.

if you loss access to the account you bought the games on you cannot get them back. If you lost access due to forgetting details i would recommend resetting security details. If you lost your account through a permanent suspension then you have lost all
the games that you bought with that account.
