Digital sales killed the disc games' stars

I don't know why we need disc games anymore. PC barely has any disc games.

I actually got really into going digital with my games, but over the last year or so I've pivoted back to buying discs. I've found I prefer to actually own something physical and like having a "collection" of games. I know people have argued that digital
is still a collection and I don't disagree... Just personally feel like the physical copies are more of a collection.

To each their own though. I know I'm in the minority and digital will probably phase out physical discs within the next generation or two.

I prefer Digital over Disc's due to not having to worry over scratches and being unplayable.

I hope that physicall games don't go anywhere. I don't like that a company requires you to maintain an account with that company that they then can define the ToS for that account and at any moment they can block access to your account. All digitial media
is tied to that account so you don't own anything and if that company chooses they can terminate your access to all the content you paid for. People are going for convenience over ownership and they don't even know the consequences of it.
