    Would love a way to Pre-Order and download digital games.

    I liked what Sony did with PS Vita digital pricing being 10% cheaper.

    .

    I doubt we'll get that from MSoft tbh.

    .

    Do you reckon we'll get RRP pricing for retail competitive pricing?

    Welcome to gaming in Australia. More often than not, the games are actually cheaper on a disc.

    They're also much faster to get up and running because you don't need to download the entire game, just install from the disc and download any updates. The digital versions are "supposedly" more convenient because you can buy them from home and start playing
    without ever leaving the house, but internet speeds in Australia mean that you could go out, buy the game and have it fully installed and playable in half the time it would take to download a digital version.

    Installing on the Xbox One from the disc is actually slower than a digital download in my experience, but it's funny how the increased costs used to be about where Australia was located and now the digital age is here, prices stay the same even without the
    distribution costs, it figures!

    There's no way that spending an hour or so installing a game from a disc takes longer than downloading it on Australian internet providers, especially when you factor in that some of these games are well over 40GB plus updates.

    well best way to install games is remove your xbox from your network install then re connect and then download any update.

    but those that are running on the NBN have an advantage over those running adsl / adsl2+ heck evn those on 3g/4g get better speeds then normal but dl limit is an issue.

    each to their own.

    i personally like having a physical copy shows i actually have something for my money

    The packaging is pennies to be honest. Even though there is no packaging, servers, paying the online service to have your game there, etc. Is probably more expensive than plastic and cardboard.

    The price for any first party games is as low as it could be if you subscribe to the gamepass. Than you could play every game from xbox game studios with no additional cost. Also there are deals for digitial games every week and there are many sales over
