    How do digital downloads work, if some developers offer preorder bonuses?

    Does anybody know if theres any info regarding how this works? I currently have 3 games preordered through my local best buy but would rather have the digital version so I wont have to swap discs in and out. But I want the preorder bonus content, like
    battlefields china rising expansion. Will they offer a preorder service for digital downloads? If not what is the point of a digital copy if they dont offer the bonus stuff as well?

    Forza Motorsports Horizon 3 preorders not showing up

    My preorders are still not showing up. Glad i had to buy a Gift card from Gamestop when i got the game to miss out on there preorder cars with them not having a digital upc for the preorder.

    Now im missing most of the preorder benefits. Mustang from the Microsoft preorder is not there and i have no idea what else im missing from my preorder from the store.

    Havent had a lot of time to play due to work. But dang missing stuff still.

    An interesting question. I have never seen pre-orders offered on the 360 but I don't know that they are not available on the web site. As for the bonus, I would suppose it should have all the bonuses available anywhere else. Why not just pre-order from the
    ESO site or another retailer? I have seen no difference in price though the ESO site offera a better early access for the PC digital.

    Yes, I was aware of that. The comment was directed at a slightly better deal being available from the ESO site itself for the PC download. I looked however and they are taking pre-orders for the consoles through other retailers. I have a pre-order in on
    Amazon and it will come with digital content but the only thing available is a physical box. So. I would have to say no, it doesn't appear so. Perhaps after release it will be available as a digital download. Some games, such as Diablo III were available as
    downloads pretty much at the same time as the physical copies were; but the game wan't new except to the console.

    Did you preorder digitally or as a physical disc from Microsoftstore.com? There were no offers to receive credits for preordering that game digitally.
