    Digital Pre-order Availability


    Hey, I pre-ordered Halo: Master Chief Collection through the Xbox Store on the Xbox One. I've already installed the game and know it's not available for play until 12:01am, but I was wondering if this is timezone specific based on your consoles location
    or (God forbid) a set time for like PST? I'm in EST, by the way.

    Yes, UK, MS is working on plans for preordering and preloading digital downloads. As to the preorder bonuses, i understand what you mean, but those are actually up to the developers and not MS themselves. Many developers are offering special bonuses for
    digital downloaders, others offer the same bonuses for digital day-one purchases (some unlimited, some limited-time availability) as are available on their physical preorders.

    Basically, the only outlet here is to complain to the developers and companies of individual games if you learn that their digital and day-one downloads do not offer equivalents to the pre-order bonuses. These details and more can be found here (pre order

    I just spoke with Support and they said it's 12:01am EST for everyone, regardless of location.. Seems a bit strange, but works for me.

    Not sure for that one but I live in Toronto so east coast some games are playable at midnight others I have to wait til 3am it should say in the store

    PSN has COD Ghosts available for Pre-order digital download (upgradeable from PS3 to PS4). According to Activision website a digital version is suppose to be available for Xbox. If it's not pre-order then pre-order bonus might not be included etc. So trying
    to work out if they are going to release on the day, make it pre-order available, or whether or not I would be better buying physical copy....

    Digital pre-ordering is not an available feature yet on the xbox one but could become available in a future update.

    In order to play the Destiny beta you had to pre-order the game but you had to pre-order it by a certain date in order to get a code.
