Digital or Physical?

I buy whatever's cheapest. I'm torn, I prefer the digital option so I can change games without getting up (lazy I know) but I can trade in physical discs

 

Previously physical but with a broken blu ray drive I may switch to digital.... I worry about the quality of the drive in the xbox one....

 

A bit of both on the Xbox One. It depends on the price really. I hardly ever trade in games. I may in time go all digital, I'm already doing it with my PC gaming, and with the Steam summer sale...

 

How can People go all digital for me the digital games are all £60 so i have to buy physical

 

Yeah, digital is definitely better (price-wise; just to clarify, I'm referring to from country to country, not digital vs. physical here) for those of us in the US. Kind of a bummer for everyone else though...

Don't worry about the repeat thread Brotato; there's plenty of new Xbox One owners as of late who probably haven't had the opportunity to give their two cents on this issue.

 

Digital is too expensive. I have been forced into buying discs, Titanfall is an example, I bought the disc for £28, where on the store it's £50.

I've bought some digital titles, some of the DWG games and BF4. Due to the price disparity I'll probably only buy DWG discounted games digitally for here on.

 

I think a large part of the argument for which is better lies on whether you'd prefer saving money (physical) or getting a higher quality of product (digital).

 

How is digital a higher quality ?

 

It's a mixture. Arcade kind of games and Minecraft I'd get digitally as don't want to worry about a disc for those games.

To summarise a debate. Digital you don't need to worry about getting up to change a readable disc or loosing it or damaging it (kids or if you have a party). The cons with Digital is it's generally more expensive than prices which authorized retailers can
sell it for and they can sell it below RRP and for those of us on normal ADSL Broadband speeds not Fibre with a monthly data cap limit I can see why several peps would still want to go for disc, also disc offers you a PHYSICAL copy and generally a 30-90 day
warranty and you can sell it easily. Even the games I hardly play on Xbox 360 haven't sold them I just keep them or they gather some dust.

Disc just get dirty ,scratched ,bent/broke ect..

Before people harp on me for not taking care of them ,,try having 4 kids and get back to me LOL.

 

Digital ONLY when there is an amazing sale.

 

All digital. My AC4 isn't because I did the upgrade thing at GameStop ever thing else is.

 

So far all physical on Xbox one. If a game goes on sale I will buy digital though.

On the 360 I have dead space, Battlefield bad company 2, Cod waw and mincraft are all digital from sales plus gold games.

 

Digital. I tend to get a $5-10 discount and I dont get charged tax so I am saving a few bucks.
