Not sure if there are many New Zealanders on here, let alone ones from Auckland, but just wondering if anyone is going this weekend?

Will get to play Halo: MCC, Sunset Overdrive, AC: Unity, FH2 etc

Thanks for the info. Looking forward to giving X1 and PS4 a go this weekend at Digital Nationz in Auckland, NZ. Anyone else going?

Also have Big Boys Toys at start of November but guessing it'll have the same games.

If what MS is about the X1 being a well balanced machine is true then I'm happy with that. More power does not equal best gaming experience.

Fortunately I'll get to play the X1 and PS4 this weekend!! Any NZ gamers here going to Digital Nationz in Auckland this weekend??

 

Ok so the event was pretty good and MS really brought it with a huge selection of games to play.

They were:

Halo: MCC (Halo 2 multiplayer on remade maps. So good!!!!)

Sunset Overdrive (Co-op multiplayer. So much going on it was hard to figure out at first but once I got the hang of it I was sold. 900p but with so much going on and didn't notice any slowdown. Day 1).

Forza Horizon 2 (Played demo so not much new to see but still very impressive. Already pre-ordered)

KI Season 2 (This was on a huge stadium style screen with fight sticks. Constant lines for this).

They also had a heap of ID@Xbox games including Ori and Aztez. Ori is gorgeous and plays very well. Definite day 1.

Other games on show that weren't necessarily on Xbox were:

Dying Light (Seems cool but very Dead island)

AC: Unity (hands off demo. Looking very good though and might be the game that gets me back into AC)

AC: Rogue

Alien Isolation (Played on PS4 and looking great)

Far Cry 4 (Another PS4 demo that was a blast to play).

Disney Infinity (Playable on X1 and PS4)

Fifa 15

At the end of this month we have our annual Comic/Gaming show Armageddon where MS and Sony will both be attending in force.

 

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. I'm personally looking forward to checking Dying Light out. Everything else on the list has marginally close release dates so I won't be too fussed waiting for them to drop.

 

Was the indie-game Fru playing down there? Or Wildfire? Both use Kinect, if that helps jog your memory

 

HI I LIVE IN NZ TOO. yeah that ads been on my xbox 360 dashboard for a while. Even tho its the school holidays I wont be attending it. Forza horizon 2 comes out this week wooo. I remember when eb games was doing the midnight release of xbox 1 about 27 eb
stores throughtout nz were open midnight for xbox 1 release there were 60 peps.

 

@zensteve, pretty sure I saw Fru but not sure about other one. Only got to try a couple of the Indies due to lines of people. Ori was my top priority
