Digital Gift Cards

i know this is probably better suited for General Discussion and isn't game specific BUT most of the hardcore gamers and regulars hang out here so it'll get more visibility. Anyhooser, I've noticed that there hasn't been much talk about digital gift cards
and figured I'd let everyone know.

Digital giftcards are available on the MS commerce site and you can schedule when they get emailed to the person who is having their day made by you.

1 50$ digital gift card

2 15$ digital gift card

3 call of duty infinite warfare legacy edition 57$

 

wants to refund for tiger shark cash card

I was specifically told by xbox support to post it here and Rockstar would be in contact with me.

And on my receipt it specifically says:

Special note for digital gift card customers: You can cancel your gift card order and receive a refund up to 14 days after your digital gift card has been sent or until your gift card has been redeemed, whichever occurs first.

 

I was also wondering why there hasn't been any talk about it. My wife just bought a few for some of her cousins.

 

I was surprised because not long ago everyone was harping about being able to digitally gift. Granted this isn't a game specifically but you can at least send the money.

 

Buy them from amazon, message the person the code once you get it. Been doing it for at least the last year. I didn't know anyone was complaining about it, or I would have chirped up sooner.

 

I am with Tater. Amazon or virtually any other place is a better option than using MS directly. More of a chance for deals and such.

 

Oh I definitely agree, I'm just saying there were a lot more people that seemed to want it than are talking about it.

It is kind of cool though that you can schedule delivery. I suppose what people really wanted is the ability to gift directly from the game store on the console. I think the Wii does or did that.

 

^ Did at least, I think the marketplace is down for the Wii now. But yeah, you had the option of gifting it to someone, but you had to have their friend code to do it. I dunno about Wii-U

I clicked on the commerce.microsoft link above and signed in again.

Then I changed the language to UK English, this caused me to need to sign in again.

But then I got a Server Error 500.

So it looks like you cannot buy a Digital Gift Voucher with a UK credit card.

I have a windows 8 phone, I am using an ms surface PC, my daughter had a windows 8 phone.

What is this so hard to do?

 

DOe anyone know about how long it takes for them to come through?
