digital games

I was wondering if anyone has an answer. I bought a game and downloaded it, and I don't play it much so I want to give it to a friend of mine. If i sign in on their console and download it, will I still be able to play on my console if I wanted to? Also
can they play it on their account on their console with no issues?

I'll be going 90% digital I think. The only games I will get physical copies are will be ones that I'm still not sure about or ones that may have a short campaign with no replay value. Those I will just buy and sell as soon as I'm done with.

You can put your profile on their console and re-download your games to their console so you can both play it. However, if your profile isn't signed in, your friend won't be able to play it. Technically speaking there is no "real" way of giving it to your
friend, but you can give him access to your game.

If you do this, you WILL still be able to play your game on your own Xbox, just not if he has your profile signed in on his Xbox - this means you won't be able to play the same game together. There is a work-around, but I don't recommend it; I'll let someone
else explain how that works.

Download your profile on your friends xbox...set his xbox as your home console. Now he can play all of your digital games. Amd yes you can play them.at the same time as him.

 

Akame is right, but I ONLY recommend you do it if you ABSOLUTELY 100% TRUST YOUR FRIEND.

 

Or you can copy your games over to an external HDD give it to a friend with your sign in. As others have said only do it with someone you absolutely with no question trust. And make sure that person will not be signing in as you when you want to game on
your home console under your account

 

Next time buy it cheaper on disc and let him borrow it. It's the cheapest and easiest way with the least amount of worrying.

 

Um, no it isn't. You'd have to buy 2 discs to get the same effect, so it's twice as expensive - which isn't cheaper. If you let him borrow the disc, not only will he not be able to play with his friend at the same time on 2 separate consoles, but there's
no guarantee that he'll get it back or that it might accidentally break, get lost, or stolen while in his friend's care.

 

Just playing devil's advocate here, but... if I had a game on disc that I didn't really play that much, I might still be willing to lend it to a friend. Even if I didn't "100% trust" that friend. At least I'd only lose the game. But your solution to the
digital copy issue... no way... just sayin'.

 

Sorry Geek, but I think it went way over your head. What are you banging on about? 2 discs etc? What? He said "give" it to his friend, not play at the same time. Stop over analyzing things. Buying physical and lending is easier than digital no matter what
you say. You won't admit it, but it is.

 

I get what you are saying brand, but re-read the first post...he wants to lend it, but wants to know if he can still play it as well.

 

Lending a physical game is only as easy as the distance between real life friends. Sharing digital so much easier logistically that is, and with a decent sharing set up. (Stares up in wonder of what could have been)
