digital games on two consoles

if i add my account to a different console can i download and play my games on different accounts. does my account have to be logged in all the time?

Digital because I share games between two different consoles.

AFAIK One game disk allows you to install the game on each console but to play against each other online you will need two copies of the game. If this is true a digital download would be needed on each console (two accounts).

 

Game is locked to your account AND the console you first download it on.

1. Anyone can play on the console it was first downloaded on - even offline.

2. As you own the game, you can re-download and play on any console but you need to be logged in to get full access to the game.

I have a family console downstairs where anyone can play, but also a console in my "man cave". As I'm always logged in this works well. (I keep my games on the hard drive, but my profile on USB. Just make sure you download on the family console first if
everyone wants to play.)

This is for the 360. I'm not sure how DRM works on the xb1.

 

I've got an XB1 in the living room and another one in the bedroom. I've now begun buying download rather than disc based games as I can download the game onto both consoles once I've purchased it (No disc swapping when I want to play a game). You definitely
need a fast and unlimited internet connection as my CoD Advanced Warfare pre-order accounted for about 90GB of download for the two consoles.

As you would expect, you can only be playing the game on one console at a time. As soon as you switch on the second console, logging in as yourself, then the other console automatically logs out.

 

You mentioned COD AW for the two consoles, but you mean your two Xbox Ones, right? I don't see a digital option for the 360 yet and am desperate to get it for the free upgrade to Xbox One.

Unless I am wrong, it is not available as a digital download on 360 yet and won't be in time for launch date as they'll want to sell Xbox One copies as best they can first.

Always some catch when it comes to these money hungry companies. It's about time they counted their millions,realised who gave them that money and did something decent for the dying community.

If you use an external hard drive, I think you can use that to copy the game from one console to another (which would save you a 2nd huge download)

I moved all my games to an external drive so I could take them round to a friends house. All it needed to do was download a small DRM file to work while I was logged in. When I did the file move, there was also the option to copy (internal to external)

 

Me and the wife are benefiting from this at the moment, she purchased the limited edition of Destiny digital so I can use it on my Xbox One upstairs and she can be on at the same time downstairs
