Digital Game Refund?

I pre ordered the digital version Premium Edition Mortal Kombat X for 80 dollars and now I'm REEEEAAAALLLY starting to regret the purchase. I was just wondering if Microsoft does credit refunds or anything like that. The money I spent would still be going
back to them in another purchase so why not?

I'll be going 90% digital I think. The only games I will get physical copies are will be ones that I'm still not sure about or ones that may have a short campaign with no replay value. Those I will just buy and sell as soon as I'm done with.

You can still try contacting support as there's usually a 30 day period that they will give you a refund after a games release.

Think this game has been out longer than 30 days though so you may be out of luck.

 

You're not going to get a refund for simple not liking the game. They are only going to offer refunds if there is a problem or fault with the game, or if the game wasn't what it was advertised to be. Regretting your purchase
is not a good enough reason for a refund.

Also, by looking at your achievement list of Mortal Kombat X, you have been playing it constantly between mid April and late May. If you have, as you claimed' "regretted your purchase", why did you play it so much?

 

Well by looking at my activity you can also clearly see that I no longer play it so is it hard to believe that I am regretting my purchase? Anyways thanks for the answer. It's a shame that I'm stuck with it.

 

^^ You win some, you lose some. I'm sure it's happened to every poster here. There are a few games I can think of that I never played anymore than a few hours that I'm stuck with.

 

No, there's no refunds for digital purchases. Both Microsoft & Sony needs to start refunding people's money for digital purchases who don't want their games anymore.

 

Incorrect,you can get refunds on digital purchases under certain conditions.

Not liking a game a couple of months after release is not one of them though.

 

The refund "argument" can be a slippery slope. Some games, you could play for a few hours, get all of the achievements, and then demand a refund. I don't think that is fair to MS and/or the video game publisher.
