Digital Game Play Issues - online & offline

I am having an ALL Around issue with the game. I’ve adjusted my wifi, I hard wired my internet to the Xbox, re-downloaded it multiple times, I’ve cleared the cashe, I’ve done a Factory Reset & kept the game date and then I’ve also did a Full Factory Reset and lost EVERYTHING (I been playin since the beginning, purchased ALL the outlaw passes, had 3yr of gameplay, & i was at level 898…now Im starting over with nothing!!!) and All that still didn’t work!!! & it’s not just 1 game mode that’s causing me problems. I’m having trouble with both Story Mode AND Online mode, Online & Offline…the same issues are reoccurring. With Online play, the game will load into the main “online Screen” (where you can choose Camp, Free-roam, Fence, etc) but then once I go to join in, the pictures would just keeeeep on going on and on for hours but won’t load in…then with Story Mode, I can load in but once I start on a mission (like using ur bow & killing a deer) the game freezes and I can’t do anything.

I would like to clarify, is this happening with multiple/all games or just for a specific game? Because you seem to have performed all the necessary steps which means that we need to investigate first what really is the issue. If its the game or the console.

If they are Digital Purchases it needs to communicate online, you can not play them offline

This is incorrect. Once I get the issue to stop happening, all my games become playable. Just offfline. No online play.

If you are using your HOME Xbox then your digital purchases have a 'stamp' on them that lets the system know they are able to be played even if OFFLINE.

You can play offline. The issue is not being able to play online content offline. If you have physical disks then you can play that way. But most of us are buying digital content now and this needs to be resolved.

If you purchase digital games downloaded from Xbox Live, make sure your licenses for the games are upto date on the console before you play offline. Otherwise you will be fine for most games. Disc games should work offline with no issues. Games like GTA
& online only games will only work while online.

To play digital games offline, you have to have the console set as the home console, and turn the setting to make the console go offline, otherwise the console has to stay online to play the games.
