Digital game I purchased is still in Pending status.

Hi, I was wondering if I can get some help with the game I tried to purchase which was Cars for the Xbox 360. On the 9th of June I attempted to purchase it on my 360 console but the purchased failed and returned in an error pop up box. So after this I checked
my Microsoft account and my order history and the game was there showing I have purchased it. However, no money has been deducted from my funds in my bank account and the order has been displayed as pending for over 24 hours.

After I saw the purchase was in the pending status, I contacted an live agent on here and he advised me to wait up to 24 hours for the transaction to happen but the transaction didn't happen and my bank balance remained the same and no funds was deducted
like they usually are when I purchase something.

Today (10th of June) I contacted a live agent and they had the "higher ops" check this matter and they said my issue was with my bank and I needed to inform them to approve my purchase and then it would automatically go through. So I phoned them and explained
the situation and they said there was no transactions on the system.

Now I don't know what to do, I can not even cancel the order and try again. This is the first time I have had an issue like this every other time the transactions have happened straight away with no issues when I purchase digital games.

So I would like some advise to know what to do next.

Thanks for the quick response. No I don't have access to the game and it has puzzled me because like you mentioned when you purchase something it instantly starts to download after the purchase is made. I'll give the refund form a go. Once again thanks

Hello, I advise you to contact Microsoft via phone at

https://support.xbox.com/contact-us and ask them to negate the charge and try to re-purchase it once the funds are cleared from pending status,if that doesn't work, id advise
you to contact your financial institution and have them contact Microsoft directly to try and solve this matter as sometimes a regular banking agent cannot see pending charges!

That sounds like a confusing issue. Is it possible that the purchase didn't deduct funds from your bank account but instead deducted funds from an already existing Microsoft Account balance? This could partially explain why there's not a paper trail for
the purchase.

I guess a good question would be to ask if you even have access to the game? It is strange that the purchase is 'pending' I believe, as most online purchase tend to be instant. If you don't have access to the game it may be best to scrap it all together

yes, i also did that. or is it because my account have pending payment for pc game pass this month ? i tried to cancel my subs but the status still pending
