Digital game downloads??

Not sure if right place for this but any way here I go, is it just me or does anyone else have an issue with why digital copies of games (standard editions) tend to be much more to buy than physically going to my local store & buying an actual copy of the
game?? Surely it should be the other way round as digital you are not paying for a disc, manual & case??? Just wondered if anyone shares my opinion or if I'm just a grumpy gamer?

Digital Games

I'll be going 90% digital I think. The only games I will get physical copies are will be ones that I'm still not sure about or ones that may have a short campaign with no replay value. Those I will just buy and sell as soon as I'm done with.

It's brought up a lot. Game prices are mostly set by the publishers. So they typically price them at MSRP and try to leave them there as much as possible. Retailers are able to vary their prices as long as they cover their costs.

Digital games tend to stay at their retail price, with sales during very well-defined periods, like the Xbox Summer Sale, or Deals with Gold that run weekly, whereas retailers are free to set their own prices and know to compete with the convenience of downloads
they need to undercut the price.

Are you downloading from a disc or a digital download? It took about 5 hours to download call of duty as a digital game. If downloading the digital version it will take quite a while depending on your internet speed. If downloading from a disc try disconnecting
from the internet and downloading the game that way.

Im trying to download a digital game instead of a disc, weirdly all of the digital games I have tried to download do not work. Could it be because they’re digital?

digital items will be available for digital downloads but obviously any physical items will not be. so depending on what is offered, you will be able to take advantage of digital bonuses if you choose to download digital. for instance, the Ryse bonus sword
being offered for Day One games will be both at retail and digital download. etc.

You would have to purchase the game digitally in order to download it. There is no way to download the digital version just by owning the disc.

BC games do not install from the disc, but are downloaded digitally from the store.
