Digital game copy asking for disc

So I get that any new 'technology' will have bugs and fixes before it can work properly as intended. That being said, today is the 3rd time in the past 2-3 months that I have been faced with the same issue: the compromised functionality of owning a digital
game copy as opposed to an actual game disc. Today I spent 10 hours, yes 10 hours, attempting to 'fix' the issue of my xbox one not recognizing my digital copy, this required the uninstallation then reinstallation of a game that is large in size. This issue
frustrated me the first two time it occurred, however now I simply feel as if Microsoft has violated it's trust that I had placed in it and effectively wasted the better part of two days of my time attempting to remedy the situation which still remains unfixed.
I feel as if Microsoft either does not take its customers seriously or does not care. I have been a member of Xbox Live for going on 10 years and I can honestly say this will be my last, better part of $60 a year for a subpar service and problems that have
remained unfixed for months. The issues I faced with previous consoles were nowhere near this repetitive or time consuming. I hope that Microsoft realizes that poor service and bugs left unfixed will drive previously loyal customers to other entertainment
consoles.

Seriously again guys, I own the digital copy and its asking me to insert the disc.

 

Can disc installs run without the disc if you have a DLC code?

It's not a "DLC code", just a digital copy of the game.

Yes, one can use the disc to install a game, then activate a digital copy. The digital copy will not need to re-download, it'll automatically use the disc install.

Yeah connectivity issue is an option otherwise I would make sure you made the purchase on the account you are on if so set it up as home console. Otherwise delete redownload profile, last option in this type of situation is to factory reset but I would call
support before preforming factory reset to make sure there isn't any known issues going on.

 

You can always check to see if it's an issue on Xbox's side by setting up profile as home console and going into offline mode if there is an issue on their side it should work.
