Digital game 2nd hand console

Hello. I bought a second hand Xbox one with a digital game of battlefield 1 installed. I can't play it. I have the original papers with the down load code. If I reset the Xbox can I down load it again? Cheers

I''m thereabouts too. Sure I heard 34 was average age for gamers. Kids can't afford games now and with the move to digital that will mean less 2nd hand copies.

HELP 2nd hand console banned

As Smwutches mentioned, the console ban can't be lifted. This is the typically response from the XBLPET regarding this scenario:

"Apologies, but we cannot lift bans for consoles purchased second-hand. When a console is banned, that ban remains in place regardless of ownership. Microsoft recommends only buying consoles from authorized Xbox 360 retailers. The warranty on a second-hand
console is void, and the purchaser assumes the risk for any previous modifications. If you purchase a console that has been previously suspended, you will not be able to connect to Xbox LIVE.

No,afraid not.

Digital content is tied to the account that bought it,not the console it was downloaded on.

Who ever sold you the console should of deleted the game.

Unfortunately the digital game belongs to the account of the original owner of the Xbox. Which is why you don't have access to it.

Digital content is tied to the account that bought it,not the console it was downloaded on.

it seems you need to purchase it using an xbox 360 console.

i'm trying to find a local 2nd hand copy of the game or a 2nd hand console....

Historically I always preffered the physical games and never traded them in, every console I owned I amassed a nice collection of games including tbe xbox one but recently specially with game pass I've started going more and more digital my only concern
with digital is that it will kill off the 2nd hand market and sharing games with family and friends.

No one here can really say if it's a safe buy or not but there is a risk in buying 2nd hand consoles.

There could be a number of things wrong with it,it may even be a banned console.

personally i'd never buy a 2nd hand console
