Digital downloads are a flop.

Who the hell makes these decisions. Talk about an easy way to lose customers, by making customers wait past the release time In our time zones. That's sheer laziness and the person who implemented this can be directly blamed for the loss of future direct
pre orders.

Great job microsoft.

Download a game in standby mode?

I have a pretty good speed and it is going to take about an hour and 20 minutes to download Forza. Geeez like I said digital games is a flop for now. You already know I'm staying physical.

I was mainly King with a little Flop, I prefer to call myself "King Flop" .. ;-p

 

Yup I agrree.. next time I preorder the retail box version. No advantage with the digital version, the price is the same (I think its not normal...) and for some more hour you get the retail box, and you save more bandwith..

 

We're almost there guys lol. I really hope in the future, we can look back at this type of mis-synced launches as a thing of the past.

 

Could you imagine if Microsoft ruled the world? I shutter to think what the world would be like. For anyone that says it's not MS that makes the decision, it's activision, or bungie, well....your wrong. It is MS. In their policy, PDT is considered the "official"
time. So, by us pre-ordering through them, we've essentially *** ourselves. While the people who pre-ordered from gamestop are playing, we get to watch them on twitch.

No, 3 hours isn't much. But thats not the point. Right now my clock says 12:49am. It is 09/09/14. The release date for Destiny. I should be playing it right now, but no, Microsoft doesn't allow it. You don't see xmas day starting at 3:00am december 25th

I can honestly say i won't be pre-ordering from Microsoft anymore.

 

yeah this is bull I canceled my physical copy tinking on the digital advantages but there is no advantage I might as well go to gamestop at 12am and get robed or something at least ill get to play on time !@$@#$#$^ this ***

 

I hope it's 'fixed' or adjusted for Halo: MCC--but I think it's just a standard thing.

 

I will never preoder anything ever again. I literally could have bought a hard copy and I chose to go this route. I want to punch something in the face oinn a ray rice rage. Bs

Yes, this was a very frustrating realization. Destiny is the first and last game I shall download from the store.

 

Personally I could care less about having to wait seeing as how I won't be able to play it until tomorrow evening anyways

I'm also happy to jip California out of sales tax because they take enough of my money as it is.

 

This is exactly the way 99% of digital PC games are released. I don't get to play new games on Steam until 11am the day of release. I think digital games will be just fine.

Going digital is about convenience. You don't have to keep track of discs which can be lost or destroyed, you don't have to worry about swapping games out, you don't even have to leave your house to purchase the game.

Microsoft made it clear from the moment they put the pre-order on their store that you wouldn't be able to play until 12:01am PDT. If playing the game 1-2 hours earlier one time for the entire time you'll own the game is more important to you than the convenience
of a digital game you should have pre-ordered at Gamestop or your regional equivalent and picked up a physical copy right at midnight.

 

Every single one you b@i$ching and moaning need to grow up. Were you not able to read the description when you pre-ordered it. It told you that going this route you would have to wait and you CHOSE ( that was a keyword there so I made it big for ya ) to
do it anyway so you have no room to moan about it. If it was such a big deal to you then why did you pre-order that way.......good lord y'all are some of the biggest moaning babies I have ever seen.
