Digital download?

I've noticed while downloading games from the xbox store it takes forever. Before when i used the game disc it would ask to download the update first if i did it would take forever too. I stopped downloading the update first and it installed in no time.
Why doesnt the digital one the same?

2 Days in a row no xbox one!!!!!!......am done its going to gamestop right now

I've installed update and still no Dolby Digital 5.1 as promised. Only two options under optical are DTS Digital Surround and Dolby Digital (not Digital Surround as promised) - what gives?

Umm updates are optional

But if you want to play online with the game you need to update

If you cancdl an update it reverts the game back but next time you connect it also requiews you to download the update again

Concerning games digitially

Umm. You do know updates are only megabytes right?

Full gamea on xbox one are bluray which means it can be 15-50 gigs and if you background the download it will fuethed slow it down as you arent using the whole proccessor to download it and you cant just play a partial download

Xbox one does have a 2nd proccessor for background download but it slows it down when you play a game while you are waiting

You can play an partial download upto whereever you stop like 25% or 50% etc

Yes im fully aware of all that i've got 30meg internet it should not take 24hrs to install a game. When installing a game i do not play online.

I'm having a similar problem. My Forza 6 Ultimate download started Saturday morning, now 60+ hours later it has just reached 49%. The Demo took 36 hours to download. The Xbox network stats show it is connecting at almost 30mbs, but the down load speed
never exceeds 1.8mbs. No other systems on my network are having any kind of problem, only the XboxOne.

I having the same problem I reset everything read all the support advice spoke to support. But even though my birdbath speed is 16mb the console will only use 2 to 3 mb of that. Making games take days to download. This seem to of started from the update
on the 6th September

Are you downloading from a disc or a digital download? It took about 5 hours to download call of duty as a digital game. If downloading the digital version it will take quite a while depending on your internet speed. If downloading from a disc try disconnecting
from the internet and downloading the game that way.

Im trying to download a digital game instead of a disc, weirdly all of the digital games I have tried to download do not work. Could it be because they’re digital?

No. The only way to download it digitally is to purchase it digitally.

If I have to pay FULL price for a game, I'd like to be able to download it while it's still something like full price in store.
