Digital Download WON’T Play because of License Issue Verification. MICRISOFT FAULT!

The Downloaded version of Advanced Warfare will not play IF Xbox Live is down because Microsoft has BUILT in the software a ANTI VERIFICATION program. It can’t verify that the game is yours
and you bought it like the disk can. So even though you bought it, you
can’t play it. I was told this by the Techs at Microsoft as well
at Activision. I’m thinking of filing a complaint with the
BBB and with my States AG’s office for this. They owe me something for the Game. No mater what is said, the inconvenience of having to deal with this as well and having to deal with my handicapped son during this and all. They
knew this existed. YOU can’t tell me with all the IQ’s of all those people that they didn’t either.

Perfect Dark Zero not launching

I have just purchased the Rare Replay digital download bundle and installed the content however I cannot get Perfect Dark Zero to start, the console simply asks me to insert a disc which I obviously do no have because it is a digital download. What is the
issue here? Surely I have the license to play the game I just bought!?

Installation Stopped

I just got back from vacation and trying to update a digital game. It has “stopped installation” at 95.9% and won’t download anymore. It says Ready to start and I can play the game fine, but it won’t finish installing the update. I’ve tried numerous attempts
of hard resetting the Xbox, resetting my router. I have plenty of hardrive space so I not sure what the issue is.

I guess let me try to explain this differently. I realise the license for a digital copy is attached to a user account. I also realize that with a physical copy the disc is the license.

Now there are a few scenarios here I have in mind which I have had experience with.

Scenario 1a. A friend comes over with their physical disc. Installs the game, then leaves with the game. Result: game files installed but i cant play because I don't have the game purchased digitally and/or dont have the physical copy to put in the drive.

Scenario 1b. Friend comes over. Downloads their profile to my Xbox. Download a game. End of the day they remove their account from my Xbox. Result: Game is still installed but I can not play because I don't have the game purchased digitally and/or don't
have the physical copy to put in the drive.

Scenario 2. Game access is offered through Xbox free play days. I download the game. Play it for a couple days. Then the free play offer expires. Result: Game is still installed but i can not play it because I don't have the game purchased digitally and/or
don't have the physical copy to put in the drive.

All of these are examples of the game being downloaded and the system waiting for some form of license verification.

Im just thinking let everyone preload whether it be for slow internet, convenience, etc. The system will still check for a valid license on request to boot the game. (Disk or account association) If you dont have either it's a no go.

Fair enough that's your opinion and I'm not going to debate it because I'm sure this thread will get deleted anyway but just so you know I played offline all day Sunday with no issues I asssume you went digital download and it was a license issue you had.

alot of games like that seem to have licensing issues digitally, however just buy the disc. Usually after a certain time period if the license isnt updated they might not continue it as a digital download

to play a digital game you just have to be online at the beginning to show the system that you own the license for the game. Afterwards you could switch to offline in the settings.

Most smartphones can be used as 'mobile hotspots'. Use it for the verification and you should be able to play offline afterwards
