Digital Download Times

I have to ask this question because I'm very curious. Any gamer that downloads digital games from the XB1, what's the average time it takes to complete the download for games that range in the 20-40 GB class?

For me it takes an average of 48 hours, sometimes more. It could be my slow **** network, but I want to hear what that experience is for others.

I just recently bought a digital game from the xbox store. THE GAME TOOK 4 DAYS TO DOWNLOAD. That is ridiculous, why even buy a game if I have to wait 4 days to even get it to start, and this was even after I cut the wifi to every other device in my house.
Xbox has really dropped the ball on this one. Is there anyone out there that knows how to minimize download times for digital games, Hell even to just get 24hrs instead of 4 days would be nice. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Just to add, if you're hooked up wirelessly, try hooking it up wired to try to boost the speed as well.

 

I don't bother with that big of a download. If a game is bigger than 20gb I just get the disk version. My download data is left for the large updates that most games have. If I did I'd guess probably 48hrs like yourself.

 

On the 360, my record is 9 hours for 6gb.

I can`t imagine ever trying to download an xbox one game at that rate.

I pay nothing for my broadband so i can`t complain.

 

When I first got my Xbox One, it took about 24 hours to download Ryse, which is ~40 GB in size. I think my download speed was somewhere around 20 MB/s.

 

My download times have hugely improved since launch, can download a full game in under 3 hours.

 

Re downloaded GTAV the other night & it took about 45 minutes.

 

Yeah it depends on your ISP as well. If you have fast speed, expect it to download pretty fast, but many others who don't have the greatest ISP will have to deal with long hours of downloading. I have Charter, so they're okay I suppose.

 

Depends on your internet speed and how the traffic on the server is moving - if you're downloading a popular game at rush hour, you're gonna have a bad time.

As for my experience, those kind of sizes take me about 4 1/2 / 5 hours, roughly. Could be less, too.
