Digital download licenses lost when switched to Xbox one s

please double check that you are using the correct account on the console when trying to download/install the games.

if all of that is ok then please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

After that power the console on again.

Digitally purchased games require a internet connection when not on the Home console so please run the network test on the console in the settings to verify if all is connected and good to go.

If all shows green then try playing that game again.

If that stil shows the same issue that it;s best to contact Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat at
http://support.xbox.com/contact-us



so they can do a more indepth check into the issue.

This is what it says "When you switch your home Xbox, all licenses for digital content will move to your new home Xbox, and the licenses will no longer be available on your previous one."

Does all licenses for digital content mean games?

but on the faq on Call of duty ghosts website it says

When I upgrade from digital download for Xbox 360 to digital download for Xbox One, will my digital Xbox 360 game license be deactivated?

No, Xbox 360 game license will not be deactivated. Both game licenses will be retained.

I am really confused, does that only apply if you buy the game of the dashboard?

Hello Money! Unfortunately it is not possible to transfer content between profiles. When it comes to downloadable content such as a game as Minecraft or an add on for a game, there are licenses. When you download something, 2 licenses are downloaded. One
license is automatically synced to the gamertag that downloaded it, the other license is synced with the console that it was downloaded to. This is why you have to do a license transfer when switching from an older XBOX to a recently bought one. The licenses
are forever tied to your profile, prohibiting you from transferring it to someone else's profile.

When you run a game on either an Xbox One or Series X/S it first looks to see if you own the licence (digital). If you don't own a digital license the console will check for a disc. But as the Series S has no optical Blu-ray Drive it will display a message
and the game will not run.

Other installed games - regardless of how they got on the storage device - that also can be purchased from the Xbox Store won't need to downloaded again. Purchasing an already installed game will convert it to a digital license.

But you will have to buy any pre-installed games if you don't own them digitally.
