Digital Download Issue

I've had my Xbox One for a few weeks now and it has worked perfectly until I moved back to University after Xmas. I can't download any updates for anything or Re-Install my FIFA 14 which was a Digital Download. I've tried speaking with people from support
but its hard to get my problem across without completely confusing them.

When I try to Re-Install FIFA 14 it just comes up with 'Queued'. If I click on 'Install now' it simple jumps back straight to 'Queued'. Also if I leave it alone for more then a minute or two it tells me 'Installation stopped'.

I also can't download updates for Battlefield 4 or any other games I currently have.

My NAT type is Moderate for some reason and the only way I can get it to be open (with my limited IT skills) is by turning off the UPnP but doesn't that need to be on?

When I do the Multiplayer Connection test in the Detailed NAT Information it says: 'Your network is behind a UPnP port-restricted NAT'.

I'm sure its something to do with the Internet my University use or something they've put in place but I didn't have any issues with my 360.

I would be very thankful for any help on what I might need to do!

Digital Download Issue

i'm having an issue with one of my games that I purchased digitally. I bought the full game back when it was released (Battlefield 1) and now when I went to launch the game it told me that I have the trial version of the game. I have sense
uninstalled the game to see if I could just re-install it to fix the issue. But even on the Microsoft Store it says that I own the trial version.

Yea I have been having the same issue with the digital download. No updates and no multiplayer except with other digital downloaders

 

yeah you are going to have to contact your administrator and speak with him for network settings to go thru their firewalls

with shared connections like a university they do tend to be laggy or block high bandwidth items like gaming

 

UPnP should actually make it easier for the NAT to be open on your Xbox One as long as the University Network isn't restricting anything. I had issues with mine at home and since you said your 360 was fine maybe your solution is similar. I had set up port
forwarding and a static IP for my 360 on my router. This worked great, but Xbox One uses similar ports for Xbox Live as the 360, plus some additional ones. Check to see if you have port forwarding turned on. If that is the case I would try turning it off.
Both 360 and One support UPnP which should essentially figure out what ports you need to have open and open them up at that time. Hopefully that helps.

 

Thanks for the advice guys! I've tried speaking with the University to ask them to open up the required ports but it doesn't seem to have done anything.. I've now got a Open NAT type all the time but still can't download any updates for my games. I tried
messing around with ports on my own router but to no avail. I'm starting to wonder if its the Xbox itself which is the issue?

Also do you think that setting up a static IP would help?

 

I have read in the case of some routers setting a static router can help if you are using UPnP. What can happen is your router forwards the ports to the IP of your Xbox One. Then you turn that off and turn on your PC, for example. That IP that was assigned
to your Xbox gets assigned to the PC. Now the UPnP gets confused and starts forwarding your Xbox Live data to the PC instead of your Xbox. This should not happen, but sometimes it can. I would check to make sure your model of router's firmware is up to
date and probably set a static IP.

 

Do you think it may the Router? It says its up to date.
