Digital download gives "disc unreadable" error

Ever since I bought Grand Theft Auto 5 from the "On Demand" section of the 360.

I have been trying to get this problem fixed, It only happens with Grand Theft Auto 5, Every single time I download the game and launch it, I get a "Disc unreadable" error.

I have called into support, and since it had nothing to do with the Xbox One, the representatives refused to help.

SO I am going to try again,

A.) Fix the issue

B.) Refund the money for the Digital Download copy

C.) register the digital download copy for my Xbox one.

Anyone Seeing Crash - Disc Error w/ Digital Download Copy

I purchased the digital download and have experienced a 'disc unreadable' error that crashed game back to dashboard. Activision support FAQ says to clean your disc if you have this error but I have the digital download, not the disc version. Anyone else
run across a similar issue?

That's odd that you had such an experience with the support number. You may wish to try again (especially if you want a refund); the support number is 1-800-4MY-XBOX. Support should be willing to help with all Xbox related issues, not just Xbox One.

 

Did you read my entire thread post? or just a fraction of it? I already said the people in support didn't help.

Why do you think I keep spamming the forums for help, and half the time mods keep deleting half my posts.

 

Hi Quentarus, I know it can be very frustrating when a game you pay money for doesn't want to work. Try this, this has been known to fix issues with disk error messages for digital games. Ok try deleting GTA V, then download some demos that add upto the
size of GTA V, in this case we're talking about 12gb with the extra packs installed. Once you have done that, then redownload GTA V, hopefully the problem will be fixed. Let us know if it helps.

 

I have done this multiple times. I do it every single time I want to play the game, and it still doesn't work. So no it doesn't work, that is why I am demanding a refund or my digital copy be registered to my xbox one
