Digital download game won't play

Trying to play COD Ghosts, and I'm using the digital download version. I get past the first two loading screens, than right after the skull face mask I get a black screen and it never goes any further than that. Haven't tried much, installing a COD add
on, cleared COD from my recents windows on the home screen, as well as restarting my xbox. Not sure what to try next...outside of uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game

They said the Wii U won't be getting a hard drive so at least Nintendo won't be doing download only thing for awhile. Hopefully download will always be an option. After I'm done playing the game I can't get any money for it if it's digital. Digital only
games are a HORRIBLE investment.

bought game digitally. Downloaded it and after i select that I want to play it just goes to a black screen

Another option aside form the uninstall/re-install would be power cycling your console (not the same as restarting). To power cycle your console, while turned on hold the console power button for approximately 8 seconds until it turns off, then wait 30 seconds,
then turn it back on and see if this fixes the problem for you. Power cycling will clear the cache which may fix the problem. Let us know how it goes.

Unfortunately, none of soft/hard resets or shutting it down for an extended period of time has worked. This has been an issue for the last couple days.

Shut the console down completely and wait about 10 minutes before turning it back on.

Also check if your live subscription that you purchased the game on is still active if you used membership discounts.

if none of these tips work I would also try to contact Microsoft customer support as they might be able to give you some other tips
