Digital download details for a new Xbox One user?

How do I pre-purchase the digital version of the Xbox One version of Destiny? and then how will it all work the day of?

Transfering XB360 to XBONE

I just wanted add to davemcfly85's post. Minecraft will be coming to the Xbox One in August. People who've already purchased a digital copy will be able to upgrade to the Xbox One version for only $4.99. This will include most DLC as well.

Just add money to your account on xbox live..and click on the destiny ad and you will have 2 choices, the game only version and the guardian edition with the expansion pack and 3 dlc items..buy it and then click on mangae game when it appears and it will
install to your drive. If you get the guardian edition you will d/l the game and then you d/l the expansion pack and other stuff on the right side by clicking on "install now" ....if you buy it you will see what I mean...

 

Great info. Thanks Topp! - So then I keep my xbox on that night and it will tell me when to download the last bit or is it something that will happen automagically and just show up as playable at midnight or something similar?

 

For Destiny, it goes online at 12 am 9/9 pdt. wherever you're at it will "unlock" and you can play it. You just gotta check it....you can download it now on xbox live. You just can't play til 9/9. For example, I'm east coast so It will be available for me
at 3 am on 9/9...Hoping, like others, they will change it so everyone can play at midnight est...

 

I would pre order digitally, but it wont unlock till 2 am my time,so I guess ill keep my gamestop preorder

 

By the time you buy your game drive home install dl any updates your looking around 1:30 or 2 am any way. Mine unlocks at 1 am! Plus not having discs is the best thing ever. If you have little kids you would know why.
