Digital Deluxe edition re downloads ENTIRE game after every update is released!!!

Wrong release date on destiny 2 base game

I have purchased the digital deluxe edition of destiny 2. The game is due to be released on the 6th. When I click on the destiny 2 base game that comes with the digital deluxe edition, it says it will be released on the 20th. This is wrong and I am worrying
that when I load the game on the 6th, it won't work.

 

I didn't get my infinite warfare season pass

Hey there!

So long as you purchased the digital deluxe edition, you should have the season pass available. Once season pass content is released, you should be able to download it without any problem. Keep an eye out

Sorry to hear about Halo Wars 2 doing the full re-download each time it updates.

To help me understand the setup a bit more. Do you have any external hard drives installed on the console? Or is it just the internal hard drive? I don't see where the question was asked in the conversion so I wanted to be sure. The reason I ask, is that
I've seen a situation where the game was installed to either the internal or external and when an update took place, the main storage device where the game was installed to did not have enough space for the update. So when automatic updates were on, the console
re-downloaded the entire game with updates to the other storage device.

Is that a possibility of what could be happening?

Hey Mister Mascot. I have the same issue. The game was installed on my external drive and the updated forced it to download the whole game again. I have more than enough space for an update on the external drive though with over 400 GB available.

 

I had the issue on all 3 of my consoles 1 of which has an external HD. The one with the external HD it downloaded while in standby. The other 2 consoles started downloading the entire game when I turned it on from standby. There is plenty of free space
on the 2 consoles using internal HD's. I noticed that this happened before when the title was updated but I did not pursue it and thought it was a fluke but now it is beyond ridiculous to download that much data on 3 consoles for no reason every time an update
is released for a game I have not played since Feb.

 

Interesting, have you tried putting the game on the internal hard drive before instead of the external? If so, did that have any effect? Has this happened before with other games or has it just been Halo Wars 2? How many times has it happened in the past
if so.

It seems a bit crazy to re-download the entire game for sure. I know this last update just enabled HDR support, so maybe it was required for that feature to work. The other thing I wanted to check was if you had performed a factory refresh on the console.
This is where you reset the console to defaults, but keep the games and apps installed. Factory Reset
be aware though, when you do a factory reset or refresh you will need to sign into your profile again.
