Digital Copy wouldn't download so I purchased a physical copy. How do I get my money back ...

On the day of the release I purchased Halo: MCC via digital download. 48 hours later the game still hadn't finished, and had been stuck around 60%. After multiple attempts at fixes, all of which didn't work, I tried to restart the download.

After 8 hours of the download never starting (just sitting at the installing part), I said "forget it" and went out and bought a physical copy. (Which downloaded in 4 hours)

My question is, how do I go about getting my money back from my digital copy? I cannot find the instructions to get started anywhere in support, and just attempting to post anything on these forums without previously knowing how was outrageously hard.

Can someone post a link to a page with instructions, or provide me with steps to 'return' my digital copy?

Buying Disc and Digital Of Same Game Question

Or let's say you win a digital copy after you already bought a physical copy. I was wondering how that worked as well - do I have to uninstall and then re-download from the digital copy?

 

I want my games to run off the disc not the digital copy

So I have multiple games where I own the digital copy and the physical copy, the problem is that I do not want my games to run off the digital copy I want them to run off the disc. Is there a way to make them run off the physical copy and not the digital
download.

I believe it's a "All Sales Are Final" type of thing. I've only read about people getting refunds on digital "before" the game releases; such as pre-downloading.

^^I got one last night for Halo. No problems at all, took about 10 minites and my money was returned instantly.

 

Phone support? I was thinking of picking up Halo for the campaign. You just didn't like the game, or is it that broken?

I've heard of quite a few people getting refunds. Not on Halo so much, but other games so it definitely happens.

 

Wonder If I could get a refund on Unity! That game blows!

edit: matter fact someone point me too the line of 30 or more returns!

I'm very sad that I purchased so much digital content. they really fooled me this time.

 

You can only get 1 return a year. From what I have heard is that they weren't giving refunds for Unity as the game is playable. And shame on you for buying Unity.
