Digital Copy no longer working

I purchased middle earth shadow of war gold edition from gamestop, however the season pass it came with ended up just redeeming a digital copy of the game. After contacting microsoft support i went to gamestop to get the season pass and they agreed to give
me it in exchange for the disc, since i owned the digital copy i no longer needed the disc and agreed. Recently the game no longer would launch. After contacting microsoft support it turns out the license was revoked and they told me to post on the forum to
try and resolve the issue. I have my service request number if needed.

it is only available from hard copy day one games. its no longer available for digital copies of games

 

Did they have you a reason for revoking the license?
