Digital copy download time?

So I've been installing GTA V digitally for about 3 hours now, and its only at 29%.. Anyone else having issues installing the digital copy? Not my internet either cause I run 100mbps wired.

Can disc installs run without the disc if you have a DLC code?

It's not a "DLC code", just a digital copy of the game.

Yes, one can use the disc to install a game, then activate a digital copy. The digital copy will not need to re-download, it'll automatically use the disc install.

Is there a way to download the digital copy and transfer copy to mobile device ie iPad?

 

Yea, it's the servers and nowt much else.

If you check settings> network> bandwidth usage it should show you how much your downloading at. If it's in the kb/s I suggest your restart the console and to see if it'll jump back upto summat reasonable, say 3mb/s onwards.

Using the xbox for gaming in this period tends to slow the download speed, it's one or the other tbh if you want it done in a reasonable time.

Yep as its a major game release the servers will be getting hammered with lots of users downloading the game. You will see your speed fluctuate constantly, There is nothing you can do to speed this up unfortunately, I downloaded this the minute it went on
the store and was getting 12/13Mb/s. My connection maxes out at 19.8Mb/s and have never seen my xbox yet download anything at max speed.

If you are referring to the character transfer then this is a issue Rockstar are aware off and currently working on a fix.

 

Glad I didn't buy GTA5 today. Waiting for some people to crack under pressure and sell it. Then I come swooping in buying it used. I see it dropped in price new as well. $55 now instead of $60. Cant wait to see what used prices be fetching.

 

It's been 20 hours and I'm at 50%. 0.42 Mb/s when my internet speed currently tests at 10 Mb/s on my computer. 2 day download time, great job xbox/rockstar.

 

Mines downloaded but when i click the icon it does not load the game . Anyone can help ?

 

Do you have it installed to a External Harddrive or internal ?

Also try a hard reset of the console to see if that helps. I ask about the External or Internal as my Drive likes to go into sleep without me noticing and that stops games etc loading

 

I just left my console on overnight and it was finished in the morning.

24 hours in, and I'm only at 24%! I have 40mbps wired internet - what the hell?!

Doesn't matter what speed you have. It's the xbox servers.
