Diffulculties signing into the minecraft

I'm on java edition

I migrated about a year ago

I logged out of minecraft a few days ago. However, I previously unwisely (and I don't know why) set my 'email' to something that wasn't my email, because for some reason 'sign up' thing will still think that your 'email' is an email even if it isn't formatted like an email adress. However, I forgot my password, and when i did remember it, i told me sign in is blocked because i entered the wrong password too many times. The way to fix this is to reset my password, and to do that I have to give an email. But unfortunately, because i set my 'email' to something that wasn't my email, it will only change the password to my other account, who's email is actually set as an email. But that account doesn't have minecraft on it. When i try to use the phone number to reset my password, it just tells me it does not recognise that phone number. When i tried to fill out a form to recover my account, it keeps getting denied.

this is a follow up post to my previous question because i've figured out what the actual problem is now and nobody replied to my replies on that post

I am very sorry you are going through this situation, unfortunately Microsoft has very strict policies regarding account recovery, only we as owners can recover accounts using the tools offered by Microsoft and providing exactly the same information we used to set it up, technical support cannot help you beyond offering you the same tools.

You can fill out the following recovery form up to two times per day.

Try to include new and relevant information that will help verify that you are the owner of the account.

because minecraft is microsoft/xbox, to sign into minecraft you sign into xbox live, even on playstation.

That should be okay then. If this is for Minecraft for Windows 10, kindly sign out on Microsoft Store App as well as Xbox App and then restart your PC before signing back in.

If this is for Minecraft Java Edition, sign out on Minecraft launcher and then restart before signing back in. Just to re-sync the changes.

sign in to the store with the old account, download minecraft and then sign out and back in with the new account, then you can play minecraft without repurchasing it.

Thanks for coming to the forums. Try opening an the Xbox app or website on phone and sign in with the account used for Minecraft. Once signed in then try and launch Minecraft again and sign in.
