Difficulty starting remote play from iPhone

Whenever trying to play console remotely from iOS app, loading screen frequently just black, or only flashes the “rocket” loading screen before turning black. Does not load after restarting app, deleting and redownloading app, or simply giving it time to load. App and Xbox are up to date. My Xbox One X is on standby mode (not energy saving), and I have also tried this with the console on.
