Difficulty select dialog missing - Microsoft Solitaire Collection

It is happening on all games. All games are stuck on random. I've already tried reinstalling the game, windows update is up to date and so are all apps from Microsoft Store.

I'll try your other instructions tomorrow, and I will let you know whether or not it works.

This started recently, as far as I know (or at least she only noticed today). On the Applications and Resources list, Microsoft Solitaire Collection displays a "Advanced options" link button, and there I was able to "Restore" the app. It zeroed out all statistics, and re-displayed all tutorials, but even still the select difficulty dialog did not show, and all games begin at random. It's like the other difficulties don't even exist.

The options dialog still has no "Remember deck difficulty" option, and "Display difficulty selection" is enabled for all games. Still, the dialog never shows anywhere.

My grandma didn't even care about the statistics, but she got upset about not being able to choose a difficulty with a guaranteed solution, I really wish I could fix it for her.

No problem, I’ll check for your answer tomorrow too in that case.

Also, I just thinking on something different.
Try creating a new local user on your PC, then try downloading the game on that user and see if maybe you’re able to see difficulty settings.
