Difficulty making this work

XBox One, started as sign in issues.

Will admit, I havent used the box very often because I have never had a consistent experience since ive had it. I’ve owned the box for about two years. It started as “Couldnt sign in right now, try again later”. I might come back to it a few days later and
it would work. Recently, it started not responding to waiting. A few times I could delete my profile and re-add it and it would work. That worked a few times. This last time, it’s still not working, so Ive checked my network, dropped and re-added the network,
and have done hard restarts. Ive never had it not connect to my network, and it’s always been hardwired. I did start getting “You must be connected to the internet to sign in” messages, so checking the network it has always said i was connected. I would still
get those messages occasionally.

Now I decided to reset the finicky box to see if that would help. It started the reset process, and then went to check updates. Said it was unable, and gave me the option to check the network. All checks good on my network. Still could not update, so the
only other option it gave me was to turn the console off. It’s now turned off while i cool down once again.

To be honest, i dont know how people can put up with this kind of nonsense. This will likely be the last XBox I consider, as other options are sounding much more appealing. If someone has any kind of clue as to how i can get a consistent experience out of
this box, I would be very appreciative.

I have followed every bit of advice I can find out on the interwebs with no real success. I’m no dummy when it comes to electronics and networing as I work in the field. But I really think there is a solution out there that will work, I just don’t know where
it is.

I am appealing for help. I’m about to give up and just let it gather dust until I can find a good reason to chuck it if no solution can be found.
