    Difficulty getting games to launch after latest update


    Since downloading the latest update to allow installation of Far Cry 5 I am having difficulty getting games to launch from the home screen especially after changing the game. Clicking on the thumbprint of the game does not launch
    it and often the main thumbprint is of the previous game even though I have changed the disc.The new home page no longer shows a thumbprint of all the games installed either.After a lot of clicking around I can eventually get a game to launch but I think
    this new interface is rubbish. Note I am unable to connect my console to the internet at my place (Im not interested in playing online)

    Xbox is telling me to get Gold even though I have it?

    this latest update reset all my settings. just had to reboot after getting the update installed.

    Titanfall Right Thumbstick Movement Issue (New)

    Unfortunately this game seems to be the latest in a long line of games that get worse for me after launch and each subsequent update. On launch TF was like buttah... Now it's kinda like, I don't know. The opposite of butter? Cream cheese?

    Home account     on the console?

    For consistent use of a console in offline mode you would need to have your account set up as home to ensure that your licenses for games are properly registered to the console.

    I still have all my game demo disks although I stopped getting the mag at the beginning of the year. Another feature of the game demo disks is that after the first big update to the Xbox when they launched the NXE. The demo disk started carrying the latest
    update so people who never connected could update and play the latest games that required it.

    Check if there are any pending windows updates. Update it to the latest version. Check if there are any updates for the windows store and xbox app. Force quit the game and try updating and launch the game. After updates restart the PC

    Trying to play a game from GamePass from the Xbox App instead directs me to the Game Services page of the Microsoft store.

    I've experienced several issues trying to launch games after one of the many components is updated on my PC.

    The method below usually resolves the problems.

    1) Get latest Windows Updates

    Start Menu / Settings / Updates and Security / Check for Updates

    2) Get latest Microsoft Store Updates

    Start Menu / Microsoft Store / Library / Get Updates / Update All

    3) Reset Microsoft Store App

    Start Menu / Settings / Apps / Microsoft Store / Advanced options / Reset

    4) Restart Computer
