Difficulty changing account child to adult

The birth date listed on this account is incorrect, and needs to be changed as it is currently still a child account. However, I have no idea what the 'Parent' Microsoft account linked to this child one would be, so how can I access the Parent account to
promote the child one?

How do we change an adult account to a child account. We tried changing the birthdate, but it still says it is an adult account.

Changing the birthdate under the profile doesn't changes a child account into adult account

 

Hi there. Your account should automatically upgrade to adult status when it reaches the correct age. Unfortunately if you do not know the parental ID information then there is not a lot you can do.

 

You can't change the date of birth on an account anyway.

Promoting Childs account - From reading that page if you live in the US things are slightly different.

 

That's quite new then.Before you could not change your date of birth once it was entered.
