    Difficulties connecting to Xbox Live with new console, old one works fine


    Hello,

    I have an old XBox whose disc drive has stopped being able to read discs, however could still connect to XBox Live. So, I purchased the refurbished console, migrated my hard drive and found I could not connect to XBox Live. Initially, I receive an error
    code of 80151907. I went to the Network Configuration to test connectivity and found I am able to connect to the Internet however I cannot connect to Xbox live. The following is the error status report:

    W: 0000-0021

    X: 0000-F001

    Y: 008A-0FC0

    Z: AFFF-0006

    ID:FFFF-FFFF

    L:8015-1907

    Q:8007-0435

    T:Wireless

    I've followed the various guides for trying to establish connectivity but nothing has worked. I've formatted my HD, cleared my cache, unplugged my router/Xbox for extended periods of time and nothing has worked. However, if I disconnect the "new" Xbox
    and reattach the console with the broken disc drive it can connect to the XBox servers. Because of this I doubt there's a configuration issue with my internet.

    Any thoughts? Guidance?

    works fine through Ethernet connection with that!! it's just the wireless on the TalkTalk is slow for other devices. Please help me!!!!

    there is an issue with Live that is still ongoing that some users are having difficulties connecting to Live according to the status update
    support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status . Have you tried deleting your profile from the console not connecting and re-downloading it. this step has helped others having connection issues

    Xbox Live having trouble with my new TV.

    Well, to start off the problem is occuring whenever I try to connect to LIVE with my new TV hooked to the Xbox. My old TV works fine with LIVE, but the old TV has some audio problems so we got a new one. The new one does not allow me to connect to LIVE.
    I have a Xbox Arcade. The New TV is a Dynex 32" 720p. I am currently using a wireless connection.

    Well that completely changes things. Your old console still works perfectly fine. If you bought another console, then you now have two perfectly fine Xbox consoles instead of one. A console ban is where a console is unable to
    connect to Xbox Live through any account. An account ban is where you can not connect to Xbox Live using the banned account, but every other account you use on that console will still work.

    There was no reason for you to buy another console.

    Yes, the old xbox works just fine with the same network. We've switched back and forth between xboxes and the old one will connect but the new one has the MTU error between the network and the internet stage.

    Second day of not being able to connect to Xbox Live.

    From the looks of this forum, this is happening to a lot of people, me included. I went out and bought a new router thinking my old one was dying, wrong. The new one worked fine when I first tried it yesterday, then last night, same thing, no connection
    to Live, everything was fine, ran the test, network good, internet good, Live no connection, what is up MS?
