Different Xboxes keep saying “you need a controller to play this game” in my account only

Hello Mohammed, You will not need a US VPN to redeem the code. When the code says "US region only" it is referring to only your account location. Furthermore, you will not need to keep a VPN to play or need one at all.

Is it possible to play halo master chief collection with my children and their own controllers on campaign mode on my Xbox one?? It keeps saying that we have to pick a different live account and turn off family something. The only two accounts we have are
adult accounts. Not sure how to fix this. We don't wanna play online with others right now so we don't have a gold membership. Please help!!

They can play online using different or guest accounts on the Xbox, you will just need four controllers. Also make sure the game is not a one person game and can support more. Then just have them turn on all the controllers and login with a different account
or guest..

I am sick of all the proofs and other crap that keeps my xbox locked down. when my account expires I will not renew. I had a family account so my kids could play with their family in other states and it always does this "proof" crap to my son and it says
my account is only a 1 month gold plan that expires in six months. WTF? Overcharge for games, and then need "downloadable" content to keep playing after already paying $60+ for a game. Microsoft you SUCK!

Actually I managed to make it work as follows:

1. Series S controller connected to the console;
   
2. Xbox 360 controller connected to the computer (in my case: Windows 11, with an older driver manually installed);
   
3. From there, just share the video from the console with the pc (through the XBOX app);
   
4. Both controllers will do the same input, however you need to open the game you want to play (any two player/versus/coop game), and use the xbox 360 controller to log in with another account while keeping the other in the preferred account .
   

It worked for me and now I can play coop games with an xbox 360 controller connected to my PC.
