Different versions of the same game causing problems for Xbox Play Anywhere

Hope someone can help,

Have recently installed Xbox App on our PC so we can co-op games without split screen. However a problem has occurred that a game has updated on the Xbox One but won’t/can’t on the Xbox App/PC.

I have checked for updates for Windows 10, Xbox One and the game through the Microsoft Store, have wsreset.exe all with no solution.

The game was purchased on Xbox One last year and has recently installed on the PC through the Xbox App (not purchased through the store) I don’t know whether this is causing the problem or not.

The only solution I have is to uninstall and reinstall the game again, but this I would have to do every time there is an update which is every week?!

Any ideas or solutions please?

Troubleshoot Problems With Xbox Play Anywhere Games will explain more about this issue. We recommend purchasing the digital version of these games on your Microsoft account. Be sure to let us know the results!

 

Random Servers unavailable??

I am having the same issue.. Says "Server is a different version: 1.6" And I don't see an update for the game anywhere.

Could you tell us which game is it? And also the version of the game on both xbox one/pc?

 

We were playing ARK: Survival, Xbox One version is now 776 and PC version is 775.11

 

Now fixed. The update came up this morning. I presume because its the Xbox version for PC it has to be altered for update. Maybe.
