Different profiles/accounts on same machine

We have two separate Microsoft accounts on the Xbox One X for two different people in our house.
I have red dead redemption 2 installed on my account. When my friend signed into his account, he saw RDR2 on the home page as if it was ready to play,
He selected “Play” and the xbox wouldn’t let him play the game since it wasn’t installed under his profile.
That makes sense, but why did the game show up under his profile at all? He also went into “my games” in his profile and saw other games that I had installed on my account.
I assume he won’t be able to play those either but why can he see those at all in his account?
He would prefer his own “clean” account without any of my stuff there,

Also, if he buys RDR2 and installs it on his profile, will it mess up my version at all or will we each be able to go into our own profiles and play our games independently of each other? If it matters, i have the digital version and he might buy either
the physical or digital version (not sure)

Huh. Maybe i'm not designated as the "home " Xbox. I can say that when Frank logged into his own account and tried to play RDR2 he got the message that he couldn't play it because it was installed on another profile. Maybe it's because i have the digital
version?

So if he buys the physical disk, can he install it on his profile and play it without messing up the game on my profile or wiping out any of my game saves>

If you don't want to share games through accounts, he can purchase either the physical or digital version and have access without needing your account to be signed in.

If he buys the game, digitally or physically, he may not need to install it due to it already being on the system, but he would have his own license to play it and it will not effect your purchase or gameplay since he would be on his own account.

If you guys share the console, Everyone can see the games available on it. As long as you are designated as the home Xbox on the console, you can share all your games with anyone using your console. They can all play it on their own profiles too
