different ping, different account, same laptop.

I’ve been having a problem with my ping, and i’ve noticed that when i log into a different account on the app, and join a new game it works completely fine. Although when i log into my main account, my ping is absolutely horrible compared to my alt account. I’ve tried troubleshooting the internet, restarting my laptop and none of these have worked.

Would you please share your network connection test with the Xbox Live servers? Test using your main account, please:

- On Windows 10, please go to Start > Search and click on Xbox Network.

- On Windows 11, please open the Xbox Companion app > Settings (the gear icon) > Network.

That's really odd. Since ping usually comes from the internet connection and should not be influenced by the account that is playing.

This ping issue with your main account happens on all games or only specific ones?

This issue always happened with your main account or did it start some time ago?

Thanks for sharing this. Would you please disable IP v6 and reset your network settings to see how it goes?

- Go to Start > Search and click on control panel.
- Open Network and internet, then Network and sharing center.
- Click Change adapter settings.
- Right-click your connection and go to Properties.
- Uncheck "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)".

- Click on Start > Search for command prompt > Right click on it and select "Run as administrator";

Run the commands below and press Enter after each one:

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew

netsh winsock reset all
netsh winhttp reset proxy
netsh int 6to4 reset all
netsh int ip reset all
netsh int ipv4 reset all
netsh int ipv6 reset all
netsh int httpstunnel reset all
netsh int isatap reset all
netsh int portproxy reset all
netsh int tcp reset all
netsh int teredo reset all

net stop wuauserv
net start wuauserv
net stop TrustedInstaller
net start TrustedInstaller

Restart your computer and see how your ping is on your main account. Let me know about the results.

Happened about 4 days ago… On my main account the change in ping really changed, i’ve tried joining different games but it’s the ping is still pretty high.

idk, but i also heard that it could be something with different class IP’s with different networks. Not really sure but knowing it’s the same laptop, different accounts it seems odd.
