Different language in menus vs voice commands

fyi one of the reasons for the language being connected to locale of an account is because of accents

voice commands are tethered to the region's major language

accents are different in every part of the world

Kinect voice commands is region based due to accents being different for every region you can look up the officially supported language for kinect for your region

Voice commands is not supported in every region

On this website it is under the kinect supported regions s

The only way to have english voice commands is to have an English speaking region but you may have issues due to the region locks on most triple a titles and their dlc

Kinect voice control has always had region and language limitations

Although they added new regions and languages last update

I suggest going to the Xbox feedback site and wote for one of the suggestions there like the this on for example:

A lot of people in Scandinavia to who want to use Kinect vice commends in English and to have their Xbox One's set to English menues as lot of games swich to the local Languages as well With the Xbox set to the true location of the user.. So you are no alone
in wanting support for English voice commands and menu/achivements for other countries that do speak English even if its not the native language..

I'm talking about setting language to English in the OS not in game. In game voice commands can be programmed for numerous languages and selected by the language the game is running in so they are not an issue.

Obviously the commands set up in the One's OS can be recognised in any selectable language in the menus. Why not allow the console to be in Italy but the voice recognition in English? Accent and language has already been dealt with by the programmers for
the languages available on the console.

I do use voice recognition on my smartphone and strangely it still recognises me in my own language and my own accent whether I am in London, Paris or Oslo. I'd take a guess it would work on the space station as well. I just don't understand why a next
gen console can't let me speak in one of the languages it is programmed to recognised in any location.

If you're not using voice commands in the menus it will be slower. Voice commands are the fastest way to navigate in my opinion.
