    How do I configure my reward-account to use another email than hotmail since I've been playing on that and have all my progress there? Sure I can make another user with my hotmail account since progress doesnt start paying off before I join but then I will
    have two accounts for myself on the box depending if I want to play further along in a game or if I would like to earn rewards on quests/missions. Would be much easier if I could just connect my current account to my hotmail-login since I've never used my
    hotmail for playing.

    So, how many of you are 10 year Xbox Live gamers?

    I started with the xboxlive beta with the headset and MotoGP disk, but I currently have a new different gamer tag due to my associated Hotmail account going inactive, due to not logging into email, and thus preventing me from renewing the live account. I had to create a new account while I went through the steps of recovery for the Hotmail address. Once recovered, I simply stayed with my new gamer tag... Now associated with the old Hotmail account. :-(

    Still cannot access Xbox Live account due to parent email being deleted...

    I did give them a useable email address but I got an email back saying that the account I'm trying to recover is "Using a different email than Hotmail" and that I'll need to access it to obtain the rest code.

    Hotmail and gmail are two different services from two different companies. Not sure what youre trying to do here exactly. Are you asking about switching the email your Gamertag is associated with from a hotmail to a Gmail? If so, that's possible only to
    a certain extent.

    For an Xbox Live account your default email address has to be a Microsoft one. (Live, Hotmail, Outlook). However you can set a different email as your secondary one.
