Different console previously purchased game

I purchased the game "Black" on my old Xbox but I don't have that Xbox anymore. How can I get the game back on the used Xbox 360 I just purchased? I've signed in and I can see other of my games but it isn't showing that game at all. Help!

Hi Amber,

You should be able to install it from your owned games library or download history. Refer to this guide:

Manage your Xbox 360 game library | Xbox Support

If anything, you can always remotely install the game directly to your console from the Microsoft Store. Just be sure to sign in to the correct account that has the game license.

This title is also a backward compatible game (as confirmed on the purchase page linked above), so you can play it on the newer Xbox models as well, and your game saves/progress and achievements on your profile should sync across all Xbox consoles. Yes it says completed. But I've searched for the game and I can't find it in the Xbox 360 system.

We need to validate first if the game is successfully purchased under the account that you're using. Kindly sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders and let me know if you can see the order stated as "completed"

Once confirmed, simply search for the game on the store to install the game from there.

When you purchase content it is tied to the gamertag that it was purchased on as well as the console it was purchased on. The console license will allow all profiles on that console to access the content.

So if your sons are playing on different consoles, they won't work. If they are playing on the same console then it sounds like the game had previously been purchased on a different console. If that's the case, the son that purchased the game would need
to sign in and complete a license transfer (http://xbox.com/drm) and that should allow your other son to access the game.

Thank you so much for letting me know. If the game transaction isn't visible it may be purchased on a different account. Can you remember all accounts signed in previously on the console? Please check those as well.
