Difference in wifi connection between xbox one and xbox one s

As the title says, i had an xbox one but the connection to internet via wi fi was so slow, compaired to my ps4 pro which is fast.

Does the xbox one s improve on it ?

before anyone asks wired access is out of the question.

To be clear Xbox One games and select BC Xbox 360 games are compatible between the Standard Xbox One, One S, and one X.

The differences between the One S and X are down to preferences about design and processing power.

The Xbox One S uses a different Wi-Fi chipset from the original Xbox One, which
will either be about the same or slightly better in terms of performance. It wasn't really an advertised feature when the Xbox One S was released.

Just spitballing here, but you have a slight benefit of being able to orient the Xbox One S vertically, as the Wifi chip is located directly in front of the console (adjacent to the disc slot), thus elevating the internal antenna for better wireless performance.

If available, connect to a 5.0 GHz network, as that is the Wifi frequency that has the least amount of interference from other devices (which can cause slowdown).

There is a difference between the Xbox one S, and the S series..

And it wont run on a Xbox one S... That is total BS in my opinion..

Hi

Can you please confirm if this an Xbox One or an Xbox One S console? As the Xbox One S supports the AC wifi standard where the original one does not and this will make a big difference to your wireless download speeds on the console.

Also if you have not already done so make sure you connect your console using the 5Ghz frequency.

my fault its the XBOX ONE S if thats makes any difference.

If i ll reset the controller and not sync it as you mention, the wifi of the controller will still be on searching to connect on the console?
