    Difference between region games?


    just on the verge of buying destiny off play asia. There were two versions of destiny (one usa and one asia). There is not region locking as they are compatible with all xbox ones sold worldwide. Apart from that, is there any other problem i'll face? I bought
    my xbox one from australia and I'm able to play usa games without a problem. However, i'm considering to buy the destiny asia as it's cheaper and it ships quicker (2 days) and the us version is out of stock.

    FYI i don't live in australia, i live in thailand, i just bought the xbox in australia.

    Solved. it was indeed the difference between the regions registered in microsoft and xbox acoounts.

    Region Differences????

    I just think it is so sad that there are such HUGE differences between stores in different regions.(And VERY VERY disappointed)

    I was going through the xbox360 store & there are plenty of games that I'd still want to get there(with backwards compatibility ) but aren't available in my Region(South Africa) The game shows up( Castlevania & Catherine to name just two) but no option to
    buy???? But I can buy Castlevania 2??? What the hell? Now Castlevania SOTN shows up in my store , but when I click to buy it says sorry "not available in your region" then why even show up in store? On Apple Store if game isn't available in your store then
    you won't even see it. And I must say there store has really improved , if I sign into my American account now and my South African account they are about 95% the same now. And of course we also don't have the movies & movie sections at all. When will this
    change and catch up(if ever???)

    If the game is region free you should have no issues with playing it. However, can I recommend ordering a digital copy of the game? If you purchase a digital copy on a 360 (if you have one) you can upgrade to the Xbox One version of the game for free.
    That way you'd have two copies of the game that you can play and earn achievements on.

    I'm pretty sure the purchase history changes between regions do to using different currencies between regions and release date times as well

    If I live in NA, and I want to gift a game through the MS store to a friend in Europe (using buy as gift)

    Unfortunately, it's not possible to send a gift between different regions.
