difference between Project Scorpio and regular xbox one X?

I am shopping for a new console, I want to buy an Xbox one X.

As I look around I see some that say, "rare, very rare, extremely rare" scorpio edition.

But they only have seem to have a different logo on the box and a few items non game related.

People are asking for lots of money for them, but ones you can find with retailers are the same price as any other xbox one x.

To me I want to buy the latest console that was built and shipped out to a store, not one that came out first, I have no sentimental connection to an original release.

Usually with these things, they release revisions, added hardware, changed configurations, after initial release reveal issues sometimes.

not sure if later released Xbox one X's are any different in anyway from the initial released ones or not, but I dont see any reason to pay more.

So I wonder, maybe there was something included that made it worth paying more for a PS release over a retail release o the X?

The only bundle I can find right now is sea of thieves, I was hoping to find several bundle options like second controller or 2 games included, or game themed consoles etc..

Do you think as more time passes they might begin releasing other bundles?]

I am not in a rush to buy as my S is fine, so I figured maybe I would learn a little ask around and figure out which revision to buy for me.

Concerns about the reported problems about the Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition.

I just purchased an Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition off of Amazon and I'm concerned about the failure rate, heat, fan noise and other problems with Scorpio Xbox One Xs by reading the forums off of Xbox.com and others. I haven't opened up the retail box
yet. Should I return it and get an regular Xbox One X or an 1-2 TB Xbox One S?

What is the difference between a regular Xbox One console packaging and the Xbox One Day One Edition?

 

They're the same thing basically. The Scorpio is just a limited edition version of the One X that was available for pre-order and at launch. The console itself and the controller that it comes with says "Project Scorpio" on them.

There is a promotion right now to get a second controller for free if you buy an Xbox One X, but you would have to check with the retailer you're looking to buy from if they are participating in that promotion. Similar with other bundles. They've only recently
started releasing bundles so there will most likely be more.

Ill look around, I havent seen that bundle yet, but that would be a cool one.

I saw a project Scorpio for $400 and one for $800 so I was confused.

 

The only non-cosmetic difference is that the Scorpio comes with the vertical stand in the box, while the regular One X does not.
