I bought an xbox series s only yesterday and am regretting it. I set it up with a new user account- never owned an xbox before- all went well. I opened an xbox ultimate game pass for £1 for 3 months then £10.99 per month thereafter. I downloaded some games, left the xbox to it for a while and returned later, like a moron I forgot my brand new password for my xbox account (outlook.com) so I went onto the help and support pages on microsoft.com and filled in the online form to get my password reset which I submitted. the reply came back saying my ownership could not be verified so case closed, try again, which I did, again, and again, and again after which I was blocked from trying again until today which I tried again without any luck. I have tried all avenues online trying to gain access to microsoft phone support, I can only get through to a recording telling me to go online for support, I tried the virtual assistant- no luck there either.

in the mean time I have been trying to find telephone support from an actual live person who might help me, but so far have been unsuccessful. I am disparring. I am very happy to return my xbox to the retailer as I no longer care about having this console (due to this experience) but I would have no way to cancel my ultimate game pass as I can not gain access to my account as I can't remember my password (because I'm an idiot) so will potentially end up paying my ultimate subscription for evermore as I can't get in touch with microsoft to cancel it.

so I am humbley appealing to you lovely people out there, does anyone know how to get in touch with microsoft xbox support? an actual human being who works for microsoft preferably uk support who can help me? I am sure I have exhausted all online options as I just end up going round in circles and getting now where. very frustrating!

Thanks a lot for your replies Cajun and D3ath. But I'm facing another problem when switching the email id of the account.

Here's the situation:

*** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***: The account with the gamertag I want.

*** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** also had a gamertag that I don't care about. So I switched the email id of *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** to some temporary gmail id. This step worked. Now I can log in with the temporary gmail id into live accounts and also on gamesforwindows.com.

Now when I try to switch the email id of *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** account to *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***, I get an error saying *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** isn't available.

Any suggestions?

Unfortunately this cannot be done. The only way to do this would be to change your current email to the *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** and create a new account with the *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** but by doing this you would only get generic xbox emails and not ones related to the gamertag
