Did you have issues with XBL this weekend?

There have been issues with Live on and off for the last few weeks. Not saying there were down just issues seem to be far more frequent the last few weeks.

 

@NXT...you can't deny there were issues. What the root cause behind those are unknown. Though it seems kinda odd XBL issues happened the same day the others did, just saying.....

If it was a DDoS as well, it's not a hack per se. Those can happen to anyone. No need to be so uppity about it.

 

I have been on vacation all week... I must have played about 6 hours straight of Golf Club, an hour of Crimson and maybe 5 hours of BF4.. not once hiccup what so ever

 

There is no doubt that there have been TONS of service alerts as of late. Personally, I have not been effected in any way on either of my systems. What I am saying is claiming you did something on a social media website where the federal government could
gain access to your ISP, IP Address and personal information. I stand by my "Whatever"

 

in this day and age if it aint on twitter it aint happening but i rather get my info from a reliable source toothless tom the physic

I had some party chat issues earlier today, but other than that no issues at all over the weekend.

so PSN goes down from a Dos attack i wonder what would happen if psn was hacked fully again like last time, like i eep saying same old psn nothing new just not free anymore

N7 Gh0stz you have such PS4 envy it's sad just go buy one already it's all you talk about and you know you want to.

PSN and others including live have been ddos atacked there is nothing they can do about it. Just a fact of online life. Not being able to play for a few hours is not a big deal. Play offline (buy physical discs) and move on with life.

 

bstn617 where did you read that XBL was attacked? It was claimed on Twitter from some hacker group that PSN was DDOS attacked by them. That does not make it fact.

But here is one fact, PSN was hacked and peoples information stolen. Which ultimately shut down for 6 weeks. Xbox Live has never been shut down, nor information stolen.

 

NxtDoc1851 I read the internet the same place you heard about the PSN problems. Except I own a X1/360 and I have had the issues personaly. This was from the same time PSN was getting hit but I guess you think it's not related google Xbox live ddos. Xbox
live just did a better job of recovering or was not hit as hard.

Microsoft is aware of the issues of Xbox Live and posted the following message:

“Are you having a tough time signing into Live? We want you to know our team is aware of the issue and working hard to get things back to normal as soon as we can. Thank you for being patient. We’ll provide an update for you in 30 minutes”

 

Yes the standard message. But that does not mean it is fact that there was a DDOS attack. That is my point.

 

Well if that's what you want to believe that's your choice but regardless Xbox live has also been having issues call it what you like.

I call it life and just deal with it and don't point fingers at the other service when it's something that can not be prevented. Like some people in this thread seem to do.

 

Yes they certainly have. Synchronizing servers at the turn of a console generation which consists of more servers than the entire US had in the year 2000 (which is over 300,000) with a team that works around the clock (which consists of less than you have
fingers and toes) is no easy task.

I am not naïve, has Xbox Live had an attempted DDOS attack? Perhaps. If it did happen....What it publicized? No. If it did happen did it effect the 50+ Million unique users? No. Was XBL and its users effected for 6 weeks and need to change their credit
cards and personal information? No

I am not being biased, I am just being a realist. I let the services speak for themselves. That is all.
