Did This Worry Anyone Else At First?

So I just bought Destiny, popped it in my XBOX ONE. Game started up and all of a sudden the three sensor lights on the Kinect turned off. I was like WTH? So I hit the home button and they came back on. Did a little research
Bungie decided NOT to use the Kinect to have the game run better.

I have to admit this did scare me at first. Anyone else get a bit worried or am I the only one that didn't know?

I did actually pre order both but cancelled MW3 , i wont have time to play it anyway but BF3 is much more my cup of tea

Voice commands still work just not the face scaner and that stuff.

I remember seeing a video (not sure, think it was IGN) where they interviewed a few Bungie devs. They stated that they got the game to run at 1080p, after MS helped them, out by giving them certain codes that would allow them to turn off the Kinect. Therefore
it wasn't much of a surprise when I saw the lights shut down after Destiny started.

Between a 2nd console and the games I will be dropping $1000+ oct/nov. I will also be spending an additional $2k on my other hobby in Nov. $3k on Entertainment! Looks like I will be working a lot of O.T. this year.

Tell me about it. After E3 I pre-ordered $600 to $700 in games. And those were just my must have games. I could easily double that, but I figure the games I didn't pre-order can be picked up later after a price drop.
