did my post get deleted?

i posted on here last night about my xbox one not working after doing the update and it getting stopped in the middle. Now i do not see that post. Did it get deleted? if so why did it get deleted? I have tried everything including factory reset and the other
offline diagnostics. Nothing is working. now all i have is a screen with a controller that comes up and tells me to press A but wont let me do anything after i do press A and then the controller comes back up. Is there a solution to this issue?

Having no clue of what post you are talking about... I'll say this. Sometimes people think their post was deleted when in actuality it was moved to the proper place to post. It's fairly simple to check if that's the case
by clicking on YOUR DISCUSSIONS. If the thread is still there it wasn't deleted. If it's missing, contact a mod. Just my thoughts...

 

Hi, did you try a hard reset ? With the Xbox powered on press and hold the power button on the Xbox for 10 seconds, when the Xbox powers off disconnect the power supply from the mains power outlet and press the power button on the Xbox several times to discharge
any remaining electrical current. Wait 5 minutes, reconnect the power supply to the mains power outlet and power the Xbox on again using the power button on the Xbox.

As for your other post I have no clue sorry.

It is possible that the controller is no longer paired with your Xbox, so the Xbox is not recognizing that you are pressing the A button. To make sure the controller is paired, do the following..

I recommend trying it wired, at least to get past this initial screen, since that is the most direct method. If the Xbox is still stuck on the "press A button" screen, reboot the unit with the controller plug in via USB and try again. If that fails, try
a different controller if you have one available.

 

that did not work either....all it does is keeps bring up the controller like it is the start up menu and it is stuck in a loop

 

Is your Xbox a part of the preview program ? If so then the preview forums would be the best place to post.

I would certainly try a factory restore using a USB flash drive again though, be sure to follow the steps exactly.

If your Xbox is in the preview those OSUDT files won't work as they are only for those not in the preview, the Restore Factory Defaults file does though work for all versions of the system software..

 

At this point, it honestly doesn't sound like a pairing issue.

A quick and easy thing to try, just in case: Get to the controller screen, unplug the batteries from the controller, wait a minute or two for the controller to be reset, plug the batteries back in, redo the steps to reconnect the controller to the Xbox (same

The light on the controller should go solid. Press A and lets hope it gets past it.
